Around 1650 BC Santorini a catastrophic volcanic eruption caused immense damage to the island. Its effects are still visible today, the surface of the island is covered with ash, lava and pumice creating ideal conditions for viticulture.

The combination of soil, high temperatures and the humidity when night falls results in excellent wines with intense aromas and flavours.
